The B.M.I. is useless

All right, I had a physical not too long ago to get private health insurance, and I thought everything went well for the most part.  I am not the model of physical health or well-being, but I do not smoke and I am a relative moderate drinker (I threw in relative because I do go on the occasional bender here and there...).  

Anyways, I got a letter in the post today saying that my application was denied by the red cross wannabies.  The reason was I had an 'unacceptable' B.M.I. (Body Mass Indicator) indicator. Granted, I am 5'10 roughly 185-190 lbs.  My body build doesn't really indicate that I am as fat as what the B.M.I says I am (or I have a really great self-image).  

So, I wanted to do some research on the B.M.I just to see what it takes for me to be in the acceptable range.  I quick google search for the B.M.I., found a generator, and went to see what was up.  For me to be acceptable, at 5'10, I need to be roughly 173 lbs.  I admit, I probably could shed a few pounds, but 173lbs, get real, not going to happen.  I think I saw 180 once after severe diet and exercise, but not anything lower.  

So, I wanted to do some research on this whole B.M.I. thingamabob, and found something interesting.  It turns out, it is actually called the Quetelet Index developed by a Belgium scientist back between 1830-1850.  See here.

You are telling me that we are using a system that was developed in the mid 1800's?  No one else has made a breakthrough since then?  I maybe wrong (probably am because I do not have a M.D. after my name) but they were still prescribing cocaine and morphine for headaches and leeches for blood disorders.  

Fuck, its the 21st century and we can not even agree on the fucking food pyramid.  In this article, the World Health Organization, England's National Health Service, Harvard Medical and our very own USDA each have their own versions.  Fuck.  But yet, using something that was developed in the Leech and Cocaine period is perfectly acceptable.  All of our advance and research of the Human Body and this guy in Belgium got it right so long ago.  In the words of Fake Steve Jobs, 'Suck It Out Of My Own Ass.'  If I am wrong, then I am wrong, but come on, this is absurd.  Either way, I will probably be overweight in whatever system that is developed, but at least ill be overweight by a system that was created in my lifetime.    

My money is on Jenny Craig, Slim Fast, Trim-Spa, and who ever is peddling weight loss products, that they are the ones responsible for everyone using the B.M.I.

Recycling is a sham

It was a somewhat pleasant day today, so I decided to build muscle on my busted leg and take a walk around the neighborhood.  I was drinking a glass of 'Yoo-Hoo' (which is a feat upon itself because i cant find Yoo-Hoo anywhere anymore) and threw it away in a trash can instead of the bright blue recycling bin next to it.  A little girl, had to have been like in 7th grade or so, came up to me and said that I should recycle the bottle for the planet and its good in that smug johnny do good voice as well.  I then responded to girl, 'Well, someone should tell you that recycling is a sham...and the Santa doesn't exist (that was for bothering me).'  Well, I didn't say that, not even I can tell a girl that recycling is a sham.   

Actually, that never took place.  The girl never bothered me, in fact, she wasn't even real.  I wanted to give the girl balloons but thought even you would have picked up on that pile of bullshit.  But, I did take that walk around town.  I was just looking for a good excuse/segway to use this New York Times article about how recycling is a sham and it actually costs more.  Now, this article is 4 years old, but I can't imagine how recycling technology (or the lack of using it which is why its so expensive) would have changed much.

This is a double victory for me.  Not only do I get to see the look the face of the hippies whose spirit's I just crush, I am also not contributing to government waste.  Double Fuck Yeah!

Look, I am not against recycling or being 'green.'  In fact, I did install those cool water saving devices for the shower and toilet, and even sprung for those fancy little curly light bulbs that are supposed to last for 7 years.  But, if the fucktards at Greenpeace expect me to live in a straw-barrel house off the grid and not eat genetically engineered food (another post), they have another thing coming.  

Also, if the government was into this recycling thing, they wouldn't charge me money to replace my blue recycling bin that was stolen by kids (actually it was probably blown away by the wind, but I am still blaming the youth).

I came up with this when I was drunk.  This goes back to how I think the two party political system is a sham.  I equated it to this, your still gonna get fucked in the ass, by both Republicans and Democrats.  Republicans, your getting fucked in the ass for their pleasure.  For the Democrats, you are getting fucked in the ass for your pleasure.  Either way, your still getting fucked in the ass.  

Greenpeace Fuckwits are Terrorists

Came across this picture on the Internet.  I guess some Greenpeace activists broke threw the security at Heathrow airport. Its official, they are terrorists!!! England, send them to Guantanamo Bay while you still can and we have the room. Spaces are limited and time is running out.   

If you want, I can do this on the DL for you.  If you can get them to Ft. Lauderdale, I can get them to Cuba (of course for a small handling fee because I guess people smuggling is looked down upon, but these are terrorists, so i dont think anyone important will care). 

The Formation of the Super Duper Double Secret Political Party

The democrats are idiots.  Republicans are even worse.  I am a registered Libertarian but we are considered "nuts" in the political spectrum.  

So, I am forming the Super Duper Double Secret Political Party.  Actually, I am calling my party the Realist Political Party.  I wanted to call it the Anti-Bullshit party, but I know some fuckwits may have an issue with Bullshit. 

Fuck them, I am now renaming my party to the Anti-Government Bullshit Party (and I threw in the word Government because I really wanted to piss them off), but you can still call us 'Realist' for short.

Why aren't people being held accountable?

I came across this article postdated on Oct 11 2006, which indicated that 'Excess' Iraqi death at 655,000.   Pretty much, the money quote in this article said that these people would be alive if the invasion had not happened.  

Why has this not been constantly pushed and brought into the main stream media besides the one article? Why hasn't anyone been held accountable. We are responsible for this, but this is a responsibility that no one wants to acknowledge.  

This is the U.N. definition of genocide, 

...any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

(a) Killing members of the group;

(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;

(c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;

(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;

(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group

Even if this was not intentional, we did these acts, and someone in government should be held accountable.
