These activists were lucky there were in europe
In America, our police aren't as nice as the ones here. And people wonder why we do not take greenpeace seriously.

Give them food, then tech
Never liked this idea, the One Laptop Per Child program. Pretty much, countries buy these laptops to give to their citizens at an extremely low cost per unit.
Well, thats nice. Too bad most of fucking Africa is starving (as with the case in other countries where this machine is marketed). Feed them first, then give them technology. Dumbasses. You want to do some good, donate food or money before you give them a laptop they are going to hock for a chicken anyways.

The Binger Tornado
I was born during this storm. Full details can be found here about the damage and stuff.
The money quote, "Although there were no injuries or deaths and a relatively small amount of property damage, when compared with other more devasting tornadoes, the Binger tornado of May 22, 1981 was no doubt a powerful storm. Evidence gathered from a ground survey of the storm indicates that it should be classified as a high F4 on the Fujita-scale. Damage to houses, trees, and equipment was severe, but not sufficiently bad to justify an F5 rating."
Thank god i was born in the storm shelter in the basement in a secure location or this blog wouldn't be here today.

You want out of Iraq? This is how you do it
So, say you are an American soldier located in the quagmire that is now Iraq. You want out. You have been deployed too long without proper relief. You can no longer be diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder but instead be diagnosed with Adjustment Disorder, see here (what do you expect from an administration that skirted around the Genevea Convention by creating a new term, enemy combatant. Also, by diagnosing soldiers with AD instead of PTSD, they get denied long term benefits from the VA).
Well, your stuck basically in Iraq. Unless...you use the Quran as a target. Thats right, an American sniper used a copy of the Muslim holy book as a target. He was disciplined and then removed from Iraq and probably any other muslim country. Money quote, 'The U.S. military said Sunday that it had disciplined the sniper and removed him from Iraq after he was found to have used Islam's holy book for target practice May 9 in a predominantly Sunni area west of Baghdad.'
Nice. Spread the word.

This is pretty fucked up
So, I came across this interview that was done on DemocracyNow.org involving Tim Shorrock. He wrote a compelling book about the Outsourcing of Spies, and not the outsourcing to India.
The whole interview can be found here. Money quote, "I got a leaked document that was an unclassified document that was a pie chart that showed 70 percent—that’s seven-o percent—of our intelligence budget money going into the hands of private contractors."
What gets me here is that corporations or companies are making a buck of the government, that is always the case with government contracts, no harm done. But, when 70% of the budget is given to companies for signals and intelligence gathering, that is messed up. Man, it must be sweet being CACI (you know, the private company hired for intel in Iraq, the same company that brought you Abu Ghraib -well they did suggest using the attack dogs to freighten and toruture prisoners).
Best part, when you read the interview, pretty much the Intelligence Directorate (CIA, NSA, NRO, etc), did not want this report released to Congress, let alone the American public. Fuck.

Age of Aquarius
When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars
This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius
Actually, this is for Raul. He just recently allowed microwaves and cell phones. Cuba is going capitalistic. I would imagine in 4 years we would be on terms with them. For Russia, it was McDonalds and Coke that made the first ripple.
Raul, my offer is still on the table. I can help ease you into this new political arena, all I ask is that you make me a provisional governor or something.

Im not completely cold hearted

I admit, paying some child in the middle of the 3rd world less than $2 is wrong. But, as always, hippies are going about this the wrong way.
Their solution, apply the fair trade sticker to products that are fair trade, makes sense. But, you gotta use reverse psychology on this one. Instead of marking products that are classified as fair trade, mark the ones that aren't, unfair trade. Instead of seeing a few products marked fair trade, imagine seeing almost every product unfair trade. That'll shake some shit up.
But, what do I know anyways.

Mass dumbasses
If you are not in mexico, involved with a mexican, or not of mexican decent, then you should not be celebrating Cinco de Mayo. Period.
St. Patrick's day is still kosher. That is all.

PETA Kills

Ingrid Newkirk said that in the New Yorker in 2003. I bring this up because this split faced whisker biscuit is trying to suspend the jockey that aided in the euthanasia of his filly, Eight Belles, at the kentucky derby. FYI, the filly had both front ankles broken.
Awww, isn't that dog cute. Its probably dead now.

We need new history books

Since I am preparing for my future law career, I decided to get a copy of the constitution that was a little more portable (since my only copy is attached to a fucking huge unabridged dictionary).
Well, I guess I was wrong all this time. Some bloke by the name of Roger wrote the Constitution of the United States...and all this time I thought it was written by Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and Benny Franklin.
At least he got 5 stars for his effort.

This is pretty sweet
I am usually impressed by bright lights, flashy objects, big boobs bouncing in the air, stuff like that. But, I have to admit, this is pretty sweet.

I should be a congressman
Well, I am glad to see that there is not much going on in a day in the life of your average John Q. Congressmen. So much free time that they now passed 'National Watermelon Month' for July.
Phew, I guess I missed the TPS report that said that the Iraq War was over and we hung Osama.

Its fun to do bad stuff
Seriously, this kid needs help....fast. And yes, I still weep for the future.
