Bullshit Censorship

All right, I need to get something off my chest. I do not hate the government but I am overly critical of them. I do not hate 90% of them, because I do feel, that they are trying to work for the greater good. My gripe is with the Secretaries of the various departments and the other political appointees. It is to these people, I object, and will criticize the most because many of them are unqualified to be in the positions of power that they steward.

And, with that in mind, fuck you FCC. I used to have satellite radio, then I moved to Australia for a bit, and when I came back, never renewed it. I was listening to Howard Stern online and missed how I used to listen to him on free-to-air radio.

This website lists their rules regarding obscene material. From my understanding of this law, its first form took hold in the 1930s when there were very few radio stations for the public to chose from. And, I can understand their argument and their philosophy back in the day because people did not have much to chose from. Now, we do. Where I live in upstate NY, its not an overly big city or market, but even our FM/AM radio dial almost has something on every frequency.

We live in a age choices, unlike back in the past. Here, people have the freedom of choice to determine what they like to listen to and determine what their moral values are. The people who are in charge of the FCC have a more conservative stance than I do. I do not mind most of the stuff Howard Stern broadcasts (and other stuff I do think is offensive). Thank God that we live in a market where I can change the FUCKING channel.

Now, you fucktards are now trying to censor fee-to-air TV. Well, not trying, you are. Again, more bullshit. Even cable channels are afraid to air swear words or tits because of fines that could be over $300,000. Thanks Bush, go back to doing coke, I am sure you were cooler back then than you are now.

Whats next, you fucktards at the FCC already have your hand in Radio, which you shouldn't anymore. You guys are already regulating free-to-air TV and now want to move to paid cable. Fuck you. What are you going to do next, censor print? Outlaw playboy, penthouse or even the New Yorker?

You should not be babying us. You are not my mother or father. I like toilet humor. I think its fucking funny. You want clean music or content, go listen to Will Smith all you want. But Fuck You for thinking you know whats good for me.

I think censorship is the worst thing against free speach. You could take the standard argument that you are restricting 'bad words.' But, you are still restricting words that people chose to use, and restricting choice is one of the most dangerous actions a government can take. I have some more bad words that the government way want to restrict in todays climent, 'Free Choice, Protest, Complain, Freedom, Revolution, Anti-Bush, Anti-Fear, Constitution, Bill of Rights'

What if the government decides to restrict those words. How then, as a society, can we ensure that the government is not going unchecked from the public. Restricting words is restricting freedom, and that is why we have the Bill of Rights.

EDIT: - Check out this bullshit (and it even happened on a College Campus where free speech and ideas are supposed to be exchanged!). I feel if I even touch this issue, I may give myself a heart attack. ARGH!
