Look, your sending me a text because you want to communicate information that doesn't require a full phone call, and I can understand that. However, we are past the days of 'c u l8r'. Look, phones have advanced and practically anyone who texts now has a phone with t9 or more advanced, so spell the word out.
I understand that a SMS is only 160 someodd characters, and if you are sending a long text, I do not mind shorthand, it is understandable based on the message format limits. However, if you send a text that has more room to spare and you still use 'c u l8r' or any other dumbass shorthand, you are a retard, no excuses. Its basic courtesy to do that because I do not want to waste my non-valuvable time (not a typo) deciphering a fucking short text.
Also, I do not know what the craze about signing your text with your nickname is about, but that is likewise retarded and superfluous. I know who you are because you are on my contact list for a reason and I do not get enough unsolicited texts to require that of people.
